Let me show you what current owners have to say about it.

Jason,

My wife and I enjoy being on water, but hadn't spent too much time kayaking in the past. We decided on the 330 primarily for the small storage space needed, price, and strong reviews we've read. In our opinion this boat more than delivers on our expectations. In fact, we plan to buy another one so we can take our two daughters out at the same time.

The Pros
This boat is light, easy to blow up (<10 min), paddles are quick to assemble, seats are more than supportive, stable in water, easy to deflate and pack up (< 5 min), and very comfortable on the water.

The Cons
It is not a "professional" kayak. It does not track as well, is on the smaller side for two people, is slightly awkward to paddle due to "pontoon" like sidewalls, and works much better with a passenger in front.

Tips for Buying a Kayak

Cheap KayaksDo you love going outdoors and having a great time? If so, you may enjoy doing some kayaking. You can have a great time on the water in a kayak, but there are definitely some things you'll need to look for when you are going to make this type of a purchase. It's important for you to consider the type of kayaking you want to get involved in, which can help you to pick out the kayak that you need.

Are you going to go kayaking for the first time? If so, you want a kayak that will work well for someone just beginning in kayaking. Recreational kayaks are the way to go in this situation, since they can be used for many types of kayaking. These special kayaks are fairly wide and a bit shorter than some of the other options out there. The way they are shaped makes them easier for you to turn, and a lot easier to handle as well. These recreational kayaks are great for going on ponds, bays, and river trips that are fairly mild.

Another type of kayak available for you to purchase is known as a touring kayak. If you are going on an extended trip out there in the wilderness, then this is the kayak that you are going to want to purchase. They are very long and they provide a lot of storage space for all the things you will need to take with you if you are going on a longer trip outdoors. They move well in straight lines, but they are a bit more difficult for you to turn because they are so long. If you are just going out for a long day, then day touring options are available that have lighter materials and a bit less space available, but they are easier to handle for you.

If you are going to go out tearing through the rapids, then whitewater kayaks are the way to go. These kayaks are especially made to deal with the whitewater rapids and they are made on the short side so you can more easily maneuver the kayaks in rough water and keep from crashing into the rocks. Many of them have upturned ends and bottoms that are rounded to help deal with the crashing waves in the water. It is difficult to paddle these whitewater kayaks in a straight line, and if you are doing casual kayaking, they are not the right choice for you.

Last of all, if you will be going out in smoother waters, downriver kayaks are a wonderful option to purchase. They are made to go fast in the water, and often they are used for racing. They are fairly narrow and quite long, which means they are for people who are more advanced in kayaking, and they can easily tip as well. They easily go in straight lines, adding to speed, but turning is a big feat in these kayaks.

So consider how you want to use your kayak before you make your decision. Once you decide what you want to do in your kayak, you'll be able to choose one of these kayaks to make your outdoor expedition a great hit.
